"Discover how I survived the panic of the red rings of death and
repaired my XBox 360 in my own home in under two hours"
From: Stuart Archer
So there I was, happily playing on my XBox 360 when all of a sudden it stopped working and showed 3 red lights on my XBox 360.
I tried the usual routine of rebooting, unplugging and reconnecting cables and pressing random buttons. I even left it overnight in hopes that it would somehow come back to life, all to no avail.
As you are here, I guess this (or something very similar) has also happened to you.
In the end, I gave in and called Microsoft support. After a 30 minute wait I got through to an operator and found out that I would have to send my XBox back to Microsoft, it would take between 30 and 60 days for shipping and repair and would cost around $150. Also they couldn't guarantee that my XBox would be fixable. They even suggested that I might want to just consider buying a new one!
I knew there had to be a quicker and easier way to fix my XBox 360 so I Started searching the internet. After a while I came across a quite a few guides on how I could repair my XBox 360 myself, in my own home, within an hour or two.
So I started buying some of these guides. Some of them gave instructions that where so complicated you would needed a degree to understand them. Others had videos of such poor quality that you couldn't follow them.
Don't waste your time and money like I did
Here are the top guides and videos I found to fixing the 3 red lights on your Xbox. They will help you get your machine up and running again in no time.
Good luck.
